I have moon in pisces...and yes I do have great empathy for almost everyone. I dont even think evil people are really evil...because in a right circumstance , everyone could be evil.. but moon is still only part of one's personality. If that person has a , say , strong signs then the pisces moon's empathy would somehow be weakened , this is not to say empathy is not a good thing. It is one of the greastest thing one could have since this world is full of hostiles and con men. I have Libra rising, so that gives me a more objective mind and I do think before empathesizing. Good mercury placements can somehow help a pisce moon person with a little more perspectives. Mars in fire signs , Mercury in earth signs or air signs can help encounter pisces endless compassion.
But you are right, if not careful , pisces moon people can be taken advantage of.

look, no other sign can be as sweet, as charming as artistic and has unconditional love than you do, focus on your strengths and your weakness would be but a tiny spec, but thats what you have to find out and learn for yourself.
You shouldn't feel you have to change yourself to protect yourself! Just be more aware of when people may be taking advantage of you. You shouldn't be mean, just be careful & make sure to only trust those whom EARN it. What's your SUN sign?
I am a Moon in Pisces, and I think we are probably tougher than we are given credit for. Pisces is a very strong sign - it can survive anything!
I find that after someone hurts me (on purpose, not the accidental little hurts that we all get from time to time), I simply don't like or trust them any more. I think that is a Pisces survival strategy. They could tell me the saddest story about their lives after that, and I really won't care about it too much. Empathy has its limits!
Also use your Piscean intuition to protect yourself - if you get a "bad vibe" about someone, avoid them.
