I'm giving you some introduction about that.
Are you studying chinese now? Many foreigners studying chinese are confused to the Traditional-Chinese and Simplified-Chinese.
Chinese characters, as you know, is a kind of ideograph. Our ancestors draw pictures to express their mind. They draw a picture of Phoenix to express it because they thought that the Phoenix is the queen of birds. But drawing so many pictures everyday is a horrific thing. So the simpilified the pictures into Chinese characters. In order to write Chinese conveniently our ancestors simpilified them many times. 30 years ago, we use traditional-Chinese. But now we feel that writing traditional-Chinese is also hard. So we simpilified it again. That is simpilified-Chinese. But some area such as HongKong, Taiwan, Singapore still use tradiotonal-Chinese. Mainland use Simplified-Chinese. So both "马" and "馬" are right. But you should notice that people who use simplified-Chinese can read traditional-Chinse but who use traditional-Chinese sometime can't read simplified-Chinese. Because Chinese chracters are ideograph. So traditional-Chinese is more close to the pictures.
Sometime, you can even see the pictures from traditional-Chinese.

i believe the first link is the traditional chinese letter for horse, and the second is probably the simplied version for horse... i'm not completely sure though; the second one would probably be used only in mainland china...
if you want the authentic one (like from history), it's the first one.
im guessing the first one is more formal and the second one is more informal. in eastern languages you learn the formal way first and then you can start reading and writing in the informal way, like newspapers.
It's neither of those. It sort of resembles a bowl, with two chopsticks coming out of it.
They are both chinese for horse (ma). In Chinese there are two ways of writing words, simplified and traditional. The first one is traditional which is slightly more complex and the second one is simplified which is easier. For the most part simplified is used currently but the traditional still appears in certain dialects and often times poetry and art.
