Question: Im a Sagittarius and my sister is a Gemini and we get along pretty badly. I get irritated with her extremely quickly and find myself saying really awful things to her- things that I know I could never say to other members of the family.. She is that grating on my nerves... I find that I have a similar lack of patience with my Nanna, who is also a Gemini..

Astrologically speaking, for most people, you either love or hate your opposite Sun sign. To start off with, because you two are opposites on the zodiac wheel, there will definitely be a clash of temperament and inner drives, goals and working mechanisms. It's like the opposites wanting to exert their independence each, pulling each other apart in different directions.
The reason why it is not easy to get along with each other is because we all tend to repel what is not familiar to us on a conscious, instinctive level. Gemini is essentially a social communicative sign that thrives on establishing good rapport with others. Sag on the other hand is essentially an individulistic ego-driven sign which thrives on higher learning, intellectual pursuits, and higher causes and idealism. Thus, you could find all the frivolous banter superficial and draining. Irritation could easily occur between the two when you 2 dont see eye to eye.
But rem that what attracts also repels so if you 2 could find some middle ground by being more mutually understanding and respectful of each other's needs and wants, there would definitely be less friction created.
From what I know and all the astrology i have read and from all the people on here i heard they are suppose to get along the greatest and the best ever i mean the best ever in this world i have heard that theres is the most harmonious relationship but hearing this now actually gets me happy lol because i was jelous of the things they would say about how good they got along im a scorpio and my ex was a saggitarius we got along good but people would say he went better with a gemini
It may have to do with you both being the same gender...I read that when both signs are opposite and are opposite genders they get along famously (at least Gem and Sag do) but sometimes there is a lot of conflict with the same genders---so that a Gemini female may not get along very well with a Sag female etc.
Don't know if this is the reason or not...I am just stating what I recall reading.
As far as getting along with your sis and grammy...try harder. See if you can think of something wonderful about them that you can focus in on and appreciate more. I am sure there is and that may prove to reduce some of the irritation that you may feel towards them.

I'm also a Sag and have never met a Gem I didn't love and can only add one thing to what Astro said [who I think deserves "best" on this one btw]....you know your completes zodiacs with all the aspects/houses/planets/ your moon....all that can make all the difference in the world so it could have to do with that....their planetary lineups clash with yours and yours likewise.
No. Not really. My dad is a Sagittarius and my sister is a Gemini and they get along better than me and my dad will ever be. My dad seems to listen to her over everbody else. They love and respect each other. Maybe you and your sister and Nanna should sit down and talk about what is on your chest before you guys loose each other. Especially you and your sister.
i have the same problem with my mother..:S it think conflict raises when the gender is the same..
I'm a Sag female as well and I have friends and family who are geminis and who will work my last nerve. However, they're easy to confront. I just let them know how I see them--I'm very blunt and rude and they get it, and we move on. There are times I will not speak with my relatives and one friend because their behavior is offensive to me. Right now I'm not speaking to two geminis--my aunt and another female friend--who I probably will sever ties to altogether. Some people are just not worth the hassle for me. I totally get where you're coming from. Gems and Sags are opposites and yes, we can get along fabulously, but yes, we can also have very big arguments.
that's pretty rude of you to say things like that to your sister .. I hope they say worse things back to you for being such a jerk... If you think you're gonna say something really "awful" you should think about what you say before you say it. that's where self-control comes in, something you obviously lack and need.
Ps: no i don't think it has anything to do with the signs, because Im gemini and I get along great with sags of both sexes.
