Wow, yes, generally going by your Sun and Moon sign, I could see his actions making you feel smothered.
Sagittarius is known to be freedom loving, fun adventure seekers. You are independent and enjoy learning and socializing (Gemini is this was as well). Your Gemini Moon probably has you emotionally flitting from thing to thing and you can feel bored rather easily.

I'm Sag too and usually though Scorps are a water sign and tend to be possessive, this may help....go to www.astro.com, and put in his place/date/time of birth and get his whole chart....they'll explain it to you, because it sounds like he has some planetary/lunar and other aspects causing him to be like this....good luck.
Your sun signs and moon signs doesn't match(you:sun in fire sign and moon in air sign, him: sun and moon in water sign).
From this you two don't have same emotional needs. Also water sign need someone to share their emotions and feelings. This is their top need in a relationship. Fire sign need lots of action and fun. They think this "showing of emotional stuff business is so boring" (not their fault).
Also water will reduce fire's sense of fun and action and fire will get bored with this water type personality.
Look into your saturn(both of yours) from www.astro.com website. If his saturn conjunct or square your sun or moon this is very important and sun person feels restricted by the saturn person in these circumstances.
Like everyone said, Sag/Gem need their space. If you try to change who you are, you will turn into a nutcase. There is nothing worse than being cuddled by someone who doesn't really want to. YUCK.
If your hubby loves you, he should be able to give you space. His Pisces Moon has a certain detached quality to it, so he could call on that, but...good luck.
Maybe get rid of those "smother cooties" by going out and doing something not with him? Some hobby, or class, or sport? That will give you a chance to "recharge" your dear Self. :-)
