Question: Have you ever come to a point where you wished!.!.!.!?
!.!.!. that "ignorance is bliss", that you had never found out about Astrology (or in some cases, Horoscopes)
*Simply* to see if your personality would have been different at all!?
~ I have!. I often find myself wondering if I would still be interested in history, ancient cultures, religion and would I still be philosophising and be interested in becoming an Archaeologist or Psychological Anthropologist, would I still have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge ~~ which is all indicated by my chart which is dominated by Sagittarius ~~ if I didn't know what my chart meant, let alone what it was; if I would be blissfully oblivious to the idea of Astrology!?
I am typical of my chart now, would I still be if I didn't know my chart!? (Note, all those interests I mentioned, are interests that I've had since I was still in primary school *and* blissfully ignorant of Astrology!. I went on to study Psychology in secondary, but not for the purpose of sitting behind a desk!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Absolutely not!.
I am not the same person I would've been without astrology!. I have no air in my chart!. Basicly that means that I sometimes lack perspective!. Astrology helps give me at least some perspective about myself!. It helped me step out of myself and see the positive and negative traits I might have!.
It also helps explain my relationships!. Particularly the one with my mother who had trouble hiding her distaste for me as I grew up!. Such treatment can very well affect someone with a Leo Moon for the rest of their lives!. I'm mostly over it and I'm able to have some semblance of a relationship with my family because of my knowledge of astrology and synastry!.
I have one of those charts Dee mentioned!. The kind that makes people shutter when they see it!.!.!. particularly if they know anything about declinations!. ;) Astrology has helped me recognize where I am lacking!. It has made me realise how important it is for me to choose my battles!. I could go on but I'm starting to venture into very personal issues!.

I've found that I am the way I am because of my Astrological make up!. I found Astrology only recently and as I read things it says about my sign, I find that I've actually been living "that particular life style" because of my sign!. I have not changed anything about myself since I've learned these things!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

There are also some things that I'm not sure I want to see, so I just don't go looking for those!.

In regards to other people's charts, though, I wouldn't trade any of my knowledge of astrology for anything!. Forewarned is forearmed!.
I do think that we'd all still be the same people we are now regardless of whether or not there was any interest in/knowledge of astrology!. Maybe a little more clueless though, and sometimes that would be nice I think!.
Consider that if you knew nothing at all about astrology, it wouldn't mean that astrology was not still active and working in your life!. You'd still be following the influences of your chart, you'd just be oblivious to it!. Not knowing about your birthchart does not change the fact that it exists, and that you are influenced by your placements!.

Edit : Oh me too!.!.!.it was an obsession with me at some point and I was frankly boring!. I would only talk, read about it!. Sheesh!.!.then I realised that there were many more subjects I was interested into and afterall everything compliments each other at the end!. So you just end up using all your experiences in whatever field, intellectual, mental, your observations in the real world, your readings etc!.!.!.!.!.
I studied latin for 2 years : very good for understanding languages!.

And yes I wish I had not known about my saturn in 2nd house placement hey!.!.!.it has been making me worried every since!.!.!.
And also my uranus square moon aspect!.!.!.!.!.I mean before I had problem in the relationship department without knowing anything about this aspect!.!.!.and now knowing this aspect!.!.!.!.it just even freaks me out more!.!.!.!. Its like I am getting stuck with this for the rest of my life hey!.
Oh and basically other bad aspects/placements in my chart hey!.!.!.!.!.lol, like a sh!t load of retro heavy weight planets!.!.!.I mean I dont need to know all that, my life has been hard as it is ( lol - being gloomy and sarcastic here ), its depressing!.!.!.But then again I get to know about a lot of my good aspects and they give me aboost in confidence somehow!. But I am happy that I have gotten to know my chart in general hey :D !.!.!.!.its gonna sound dumb but I have more good aspects than bad ones and I tend to deny the bad ones ( or at least i think with my cooperation, the good aspects are gonna kick the bad ones' asses )!.!.!.so again ignorance is bliss in my case hey!.!.!.lol

Knowing what's in my chart doesn't change who I am or what I do!. I could care less if my Taurus in Saturn says I'm going to get fat if I drink wine!.!.!.I'll still drink wine and just work out more!.!.!.
But I was older when I really started to become that self-aware, so nothing I found in my chart shocked me much!.
So, no, not my own chart!. There are others I wish I hadn't seen, though!.
Like one person I met who hid his feelings for me, and I would have never known if I didn't see his chart!.!.and I wish I hadn't looked!.
And sometimes when a person I really like gives me their birthdata and I can see the "ugly" stuff in there!.!.!.I usually ignore it, remind myself that that person may be aware of this characteristic and be actively restraining it (I do that myself, but it forewarns me and is disconcerting!.
Knowing might give you an explanation, but it doesn't necessarily bring peace!.

We all quest for the answer to the question Why, what a shame it would be if after all the hard work, we didn't like what we found!. Do we ever get what we expect!?
We never know how things will turn out and the universe loves to throw us curve balls!.
Whether you know it is a ball that hit you or not, does not change the fact that a ball did hit you!.
