Putting Chinese and Western Astrology together?!
Question: Putting Chinese and Western Astrology together!?
I have seen several questions here before and decided to ask about myself!.
In Chinese astrology I'm a wood rat, in Western I'm a Scorpio!. I know that we are in the year of the rat right now, but so far I've had a very turbulent year!. Hopefully things will get better within the next few weeks!.
I've read somewhere that wood rats are the most insecure ones when alone, and only find comfort and happiness being around others!. I'm having very difficult time being by myself, especially living alone, I even sleep with my tv on!. also I'm not even a bit secretive as my Scorpio sun and rising suggests, but it might be my Leo moon and Sagittarius influence!.
Anyways I just want to know a little more!. I don't want to overwhelm Janet, but I hope you can give some input (I've seen you give some excellent answers on this topic)

I think I will do this in pieces as it comes to mind:
Your Sun and rising signs being in Scorpio would tend to make you appear more secretive, but with the Sun in the 1st house, moon in Leo and mercury in Sag, you can't help yourself - you are there for the world to see and appreciate!. As you probably know, the Scorpio has been described as a stinger but the evolved form of Scorpio is the eagle!. I see you as the eagle type - noble in thought and deed; will fight for her righteous values and those who she holds in high esteem; loyal and trustworthy!. These qualities are reinforced by the Leo moon and the Sag mercury!. People don't have to worry about where they stand with you and what you are thinking!. However, being a the rat confounds this picture just a little!. The rat scurries around to accompish its goals - more and hides from the light!. The rat is prey for the eagle - a nice, tasty meal!. So, putting the two together, you may be your own worst enemy sometimes!. You are out there soaring, go in for the kill (whatever that may be), perform nobly and honorably - only to find that there are consequences that you yourself may suffer as a result of your own doing!. This can also be seen with your Pluto so close to the ascendant!. At this point, you will retreat into the darkness to recharge your sense of who you are!. Family is very important to you and feeling close to others is very healing!. I'm sorry Devochka, the wind is gone - I just read Amiri's question, and I can't continue!. There is a book which I perused years ago in a bookstore which did a great job of combining the two!. I'm sure you can find it or something similar in one of the new age book store in the astrology section!. btw - what you said to him was beautiful!. I hope he receives it well!.

Devoshka; ahhhh!.!.!.am sorry!. The thing is I do not know anything about Chinese astrology!. There is a LOT more than just the animals!. There are elements too!.!.water, fire, wood, earth - I think- and unless somebody is well versed into it : I would not touch it myself!.
I do not know about Vedic astrology either!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
So !.!.!.!.!.!.!.would not want to say rubbish!.!.

I agree with Janet!. It is very wise on your part to acknowledge both western and Chinese astrology!. It is funny how are temperaments vary depending on the moment we were born!. I really like that!.
