Why are Water Signs viewed by many as weak?!
Question: Why are Water Signs viewed by many as weak!?
This is clearly not the case at all, but I want to know why some view us as such (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Ignorance of what "weak" really is!. Someone who is very in tune with their emotions, as well as the emotions of others doesn't make them weak; but that happens to be their strength!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think its interesting to point out that water is actually one of, if not the, strongest elements in nature!. Water erodes down even the hardest rocks (look at the Grand Canyon) and can wipe out entire populations of people (look at tsunamis)!. So, I think water is underestimated, as water signs probably have a lot more inner strength than most of the other signs!. We just choose to use it to deal on emotional/psychic vibes!. But if you look at water as an element, seriously!.!.!.!.!.I think we're stronger than fire!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
traditionally, "emotional" has always been designated as "feminine!." Until recently and even now, the word "feminine" and "emotional" are regarded as something to be protected rather than "masculine" and "devoid of emotion!."
It probably doesn't help that we are in the "age of aquarius," where emotions are treated as useless and intellect is the only treasured value!. however, i've been around water signs all my life (both of my parents are water signs), and i know for a fact that they are one of the toughest, strongest people alive!.

Some people view a showing of emotions as a weakness!. Nothing could be farther from the truth!. There are two view points of communication!. Analytical and emotive!. Some individuals are so uncomfortable looking at emotions that they just shutdown or view them as inferior to their answer!. Sagittarius is known for looking at things without emotions!. Its how we are wired!. It has taken me years to get in touch with my emotional side!. It is just a viewpoint!. Just an opinion!.

It's because of their emotional nature!. I'm aries (fire sign), so I can speak with authority on this (you know how us fire signs like to speak with authority *grin*)
A person who is *too* open with their emotions is viewed as weak because that person loads the cannon for anyone who wants to attack them!. Plus, an emotional reaction to a situation rarely achieves desired results!. For example, my little sister busted her head open when she was 3 and I was 20!. My Scorpio mother was freaking OUT!. She totally lost it!. Yes, there was blood everywhere, but everyone knows a scalp wound bleeds a lot!. I just calmly wrapped her head up and drove her to the hospital!. It's not like she was going to die from it!.
My mom continued to freak all the way into the suture room!. My sister was calm long before my mom was!. I could have sewn her up myself if I had a suture kit (which I recently did for my boyfriend because now I have suture kits)!. It's all the same to me!.

Some people don't value the power of feelings!. We live in a society that tells men that should not emote and tells women they should be more like men!. Qualities that are centered on understanding others are not viewed as desirable, unless there is a natural disaster!. Even in the midst of forced tragedies, like the 9/11 attack, we, as a nation, were more focused on exacting revenge and flexing our military might instead of seeking to understand the why's behind such actions (conspiracy theories aside)!.
I personally believe that the ability to pull others together and to approach others with compassion and empathy requires great strength!. Nelson Mandela, Princess Diana, and the Dalai Lama are all Cancers!. They are/were each strong, beautiful people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

my pisces mother is the same way, it's not a horrible thing, but allowing yourself to become an emotional wreck makes you easy target for others, and causes you to be transparent with yourself!.
i'm an emotionless capricorn, and sometimes it is difficult to please emotional people, at least in my opinion!. they think i'm toying with their emotions or ''provoking'' them by not being as emotional as they are, when in reality, they need to tone it down a bit!. not everything is a big deal!

It depends on you definition of weak!. I was born on a cusp but I am a Cancer and I finished highschool early, have a wonderful career and often find myself being the person to lean on when others fall on tough times!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
