Question: So I heard Libra's are male and female!?
So what's up with that!?!!? Lol, I'm looking for an explanation about why a Libra represents both men and women!? I'm a Libra, and I'm pretty masculine!. Oh, and I don't mean a Libra Libra guy and a Libra girl; I mean the sign of Libra making their individuals male/female!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The contradiction first of all lies in the fact that Libra is essentially an extroverted masculine sign (energies are outer-directed) but its ruling planet is Venus - the feminine planet of beauty, love and harmony!.
The Scales also seem to balance the feminine and masculine of the Libran psyche at play here!. Thats why Mars in Libra is in its detriment here and Venus in Libra is of course in its natural ruling sign!.

I would have to guess it could represent both because the sign "Libra" is of the duality of masculine, but the ruling planet is Venus, and she represents femininity (along with other things)!.
So I would think that works out like this!.
Within each of us our spirits have a male and female side to them, male being the stereotypical "strong, aggressive ect" and the stereotypical female "graceful, soft hearted"!.
