i would have confronted my guy directly instead of jumping to conclusions especially since in this particular case turned out to not be true!. cause if he cheated on me my vengeful streak will come out, and i would want to make sure it was true before i went about with whatever plan i came up with!.
its not that i believe vengeance would solve the problem or that my ego would be so hurt that i would do it to be petty its just that i think in a relationship where you love the person you should love them enough to let them know if you want to move on and if not you have set yourself up for the consequences of your actions!.
i know this sounds bad but hey at least its honest!. hypothetically of course!.!.!. haha!.

I would apologize to them for misjudging them and admit that it was very wrong to jump to conclusions!. Then, if they are willing to forgive me, I would make a nice candlelight dinner and dress up as a French Maid while serving it!.!.!.!. I'll make sure to make it worth the while ;)
