I would break it off!. Why waste time and energy on someone if it's not going to go anywhere!? It's hard for me to truly care about someone, but when I do, I never want to let go, so it would only hurt me more to stay in a relationship that was static!. I need to be with someone I could end up marrying one day!. So yes, it might be hard, but I would have to break it off!.

If there definitely is not a future then you need to break it off even if you are in love with them because if isn't healthy let it go and allow the space to regroup,recover, and heal from any possible scars from the relationship!. I'd do it!. But be sure to firmly explain why!. But I'd be assuring that we could still be friends & I would defiantly still talk to him, hangout, etc!. As friends lol :] You shouldn't loose a friend because of you don't like them romantically anymore :]
