Why do/ don't you believe in astrology?!
Question: Why do/ don't you believe in astrology!?
Okay, so there's a big controversy (maybe not THAT big!.!.!.but still!) over the validity, or the presence of truth, in astrology!. There are several people who disbelieve in astrology, stating that people who read about astrology WANT to believe what they read, and therefore all that they read is "true!."
Now, I understand that not everything out there is real/believable!. But I think that astrology is really helpful!!!

I partly work as a magician!. I also do secretarial work!. I was bored one day so I went through all the birthcards and read what zodiac everybody was!. All the gemini's often came wearing purple or pink, or black (then they had special earings or something)!. So I was interested and started matching up things that people of the same sign had in common!. Let's just say that after a few months I unveiled the trick!. No books, no magazines, just observation!. I dressed it up as a magic trick (even though it isn't one), and by observation and several questions I can tell a person what starsign they are, and then give a massive insight into their nature and personality without even knowing them!. Lol, it's freaky, but there's gotto be something right in it, because I've done over 100 people (including a dog) and got 5 or so wrong (lol, I cheated 3 for the magic trick!)!. So, yes, I have got a verry good reason to believe it does work!. I was in a workshop and this girl reminded me so much of this aries girl I knew - personality, dress sense, everything!. I wrote "aries" down, and later asked her her birthday!. She WAS Aries, and had the exact same birthday!. I began to wonder if people born between this and then have similar qualities, and so I'm now able to narrow people's birthdays down to at least a weak - if a Taurean is very neat in their appearance, they're usually born closer to April!. Tada! On this part of the party trick, recently developed, I've never failed at all!. In fact, I've always been 1 day out, or on the exact day!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

2) Because it's not a belief; believing or not believing (for the "non-believers" here!.!.!.) makes it no less true!. Belief or non belief just closes the eyes to the subject, even *if* you believe in it, your judgement is more easily clouded by that very belief; equally when you don't believe in it (the way a lot of people do), your judgement is more easily clouded by that non-belief!. I chose to give Astrology the benifit of the doubt and in the meantime study the subject until there is no stone left unturned!. Then you can truly say whether something is true or not!.

I believe that Astrology has some truth to it!. But I don't believe that it's a true science with proof!. It's something that you have to have a sense for, more than proof of!. I don't think Astrology is solid or dependable, so I keep it in the Entertainment category personally too!. It's just for fun!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Astrology was made up by people, a very long time ago, to answer questions that they had no other way to answer, at the time!. Now we know better!. Science and technology have come so very, very far since then, and they're far more interesting than astrology, or any other made up beliefs about how the universe works!.

2!. Main reason!. No evidence outside anecdotal!. Suggests possible intelligent design link due to Earth being the center of the universe and a god(s) creating the solar system only for the purpose of human guidance!. also suggests that other unproved paranormal concepts are possibly valid!.

First off Hi!! And I am an Aquarius!! I believe in astrology I think it is fun, helpful, and it lets you learn about others and yourself!. If you asked me about astrology awhile back I wouldn't really care, but after I did my research and observed other people and their signs I found it to be true!. Like me I was supposed to be an Aries, but I was born a tad early and I act like an Aquarius!. And my mom who thinks astology is bull acts like a scorpio, but she just doesn't see it!. She has the eyes & the temper to prove it too =)!. My sibilings and friends act like there signs also!. Now I got a question!. How am I able to guess peoples signs dead on when I hardly know them & I don't know their birthdays!? Hmmmm!.!.!.!.Because I observe the personality and it comes to me what they are!. Plus, the fact when I can relate so well to other Aquarians on yahoo and of course I don't know them, but they usually pick my answer because I know how we act!. I saw the arguement you presented and ya it seems good, BUT why would people want to relate to bad traits or a bad chart or negative signs!? They don't, right!? Between lets say a leo and a virgo people would like the leo given the general traits even the virgo would want to be a leo!. And people who have 15 sqaures and oppositions in their chart wouldn't want to relate to it!.!.!.!.I know I wouldn't that is a bad chart, but people who have that chart relate to it because it seems so true & it is!. I myself can not relate to every single trait that aquarius has as for eveyone else!. But most people who bash astrology have no idea of what it is!. They say "pssh horoscopes are so broad it can relate to anyone and it has no truth" Ahh horoscopes and astrology do go hand in hand, but they are not the same!. People have charts with astriodes, planets, houses, moons, and mixtures of other signs and plus your sun sign!. So no it can not relate to everyone it is specific to one person, well expect for time twins (not actual twins)!. Plus, it is easy for me to look at other peoples personality than they can & I see how they act like their sign & I could care less about their personality!. So if I see it to be true for me and other people & be both objective and subjective!.!.!.!.it is true!. And, I could give you more, but I think it answers you!. I liked your question! 2) First off, it is clearly evident that there is absolutely no scientific evidence that supports astrology!. Astrology has a good way of manipulating people to believe in the stars, but there is no evidence presented by astrologers or otherwise on how the gravitational force of planets or stars affects humans on earth!.
Secondly, what you stated was also correct, people believe in astrology just like how native Americans believe in druidic/shamanistic or traditional native American belief's!. People believe in astrology because they WANT to believe that they act or live a certain way they do!. The ancient Romans/Greeks created a whole chapter of mythology just because they could not explain natural phenomenon!. Same thing with astrology, people are so simple-minded that they listen to what others have to say, and connect the information they receive and choose to believe it clouding the big picture!.
People do want to believe what they hear, and that's why they have blind belief!. For example, let me tell you about myself:
I am a Cancer male (I know every single facts about my natal chart but I'm not going to get into it!.
I am not clingy, possessive, moody, sulky, shy, weak-willed, etc!.
But i love children, like to stay home, and very kind and emotional!. Most people would deny the negative sides of the story and only focus on what is true, so therefor they believe!.
Heck, if your natal chart straight out told you that you would attract many feminine men!.!.!.!.!.!.the your brain would recall every time a feminine man looked at you in a shy/sweet way, and you would automatically assume that man liked you, when in reality he doesn't!. Astrology does that!.!.!.!.you hear, you analyze, you start to focus on what IS true, and you are sucked in a whirlpool of coincidences and lies with no proof!.
You can live your life as a "Pisces" and assume that your very feminine, loving, caring, nurturing, etc!. because the stars said so!. Or you can live believing that you are feminine, loving, caring, nurturing, etc!. because YOU choose to be!.
I used to be a firm and strong believer of astrology, but one sunny day in my life i realized that God created me with the ability to choose my own choices and my own destiny!. God didn't say "Astrology is what makes thoust what thoust hath cometh to be" (God actually considers astrology an abomination, but I'm not going to get into that)!.
