Scorpio as parents?!

My brother is Scorpio, and was very strict with his kids!. His kids reached adulthood, moved out on their own, graduated college, married, etc!. Their dad was still so overbearing, over protective, controlling, abusive, etc!., that both kids moved out of state to get away from him!. Just can't live up to unrealistic expectations of a Scorpio!. You can be perfect and still not make the grade!.

I feel for you!. Being an Aries is hard I'm sure!. Just bide your time, things will get better for you!. Praise them alot if you have it in you!. Work side-by-side with them!. Never ever argue or challenge the Scorpio opinion or point of view! In other words, kiss-up alot!. They like praise!. Even if it is unwarranted, they still eat it up!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well i am a Scorpio, i AM 33 and my daughter is nearly 13!.
My husband is a Libra and is so soft, but my daughter says that i am much stricter than her dad, and i think that i am, i am a big one on respect, and her sticking to her words, i do not like it sometimes though as i can tell that i mean business by looking at their faces, but i cannot help it, i just cannot stand it when they have no respect!.

I'm a Scorpio who was raised by a Scorpio mother!. I would consider my upbringing as mildly traumatic!. My mother would belt the living sh1t out of me for just about any reason she could think of!. When my parents would have disagreements she would go psycho at me for sometimes siding with my father!. She even chased me with knives and boiling water, but I was too quick for her!. I don't think it was her sign that made her do it!. I think she was just insane!. I do think Scorpios have high expectations!. We demand a lot from ourselves and we expect others to live up to our standards and if they don't we have a tendency to view them as being unworthy of our compassion!. I know how it feels to live with demanding parents and it does hurt sometimes to think that you aren't making them proud, but as you get older you realize that whatever shortcomings they think you have as a child are actually their shortcomings as parents!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well i dont agree w that type of parenting personally and i am a scorpio myself!. i was raised by a taurus (sort of) when i actually did live w her and she was not ready to be a mom and never got good at it!. she never liked me!. w that said im 23 and i do not have kid, but i do want kids!. i just want to be married first and have my career solid!. i dont believe in being strict w kids- i believe they deserve respect just as much as the parents, i believe that they are on the same level and parents should be very considerate and listen to what they want, not what the parent wants and every opportunity to be themselves and ultimately make their own decisions!. that's one of the biggest joys of having the privilege of bringing a child up- you get to see someone grow into an individual/ their own person!. I think it's selfish and a mean attitude to hold grudges against your kids- how would that make a young kid who knows nothing feel- it will just make their life and chance of a happy adulthood/life worse!. Parents definitely lack understanding and are careless in many ways!. I certainly do NOT believe in hitting a child, that's animalistic, imo!. i know what it's like to be beat and physical abused- hitting a child is never okay! w that said yeah im a scorpio and not a parent yet, but im sure you would say different if i were your scorpio parent!. w parents like yours, basically make sure that you have a plan for your future that will get you away (basically completely independent from them)!. also realize that parents don't always know best!. also make sure you don't suppress feelings from your childhood, try to process it in a healthy way, so that you can move on in your life!. and that's generally what i have to say about your situation!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I do not know about Scorp parents much, but i have seen a grand mom Scorp in action!. She is overly protective, very ambitious and literally she is dragging her, well, not so ambitious grandson, through life!. She makes him study hard in order to live up to her standards which are very high indeed and most probably she'll be pushing him to pursue a suitable career!. Her son and daughter in law are trying very hard to avoid any conflicts with granny so they even do not think of trying to claim their parental rights>Www@Enter-QA@Com

my dad is a scorpio, but he isnt so strict with me!. we have a quite logical connection with each other considering the fact that i am a capricorn!. but yes, he can be real stubborn!.!.!.!.like when i was a kid i used to go around telling people that i would be an engineer like my dad!. but i changed my major to business after going in grade 7!.!.!.!.i told him about this he objected!.!.!.!.today i am in university, a junior majoring in business!. he has still not accepted my decision!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Wow, two Scorpios together, I bet that is fun!. It depends on what sign you are as to how you should handle them!. One thing is for sure, they are right whether they are or not!.
