Question: Why is red considered Aries favorite color!?
And why is yellow the Leos' and purple of the Sagittarius!?

it's not necessarily their favourite colour but the colour that best represents their sign or relates to it!.
red is a bold a strong colour much like the aries person!.
yellow is a bright happy colour giving it connotations with the sociable leo!. however i'm not sure on the official colour representations as websites seem to come up with different ones!. if anyone could tell me the official ones though!.!.

The Red is the color of blood and Aries is ruled by Mars the Roman god of war , and what does the God of War like!?!? Red blood , lots of it! see each sign favors the color of its ruling planet , for example the favorite color for Leos is Gold or as you said yellow which is the color of their ruling planet SUN!.See the connection!? Why!? My interpretation is, because the colour influences their behaviour exactly the way they want it!.
Lime green is calming!. It's the colour for Virgo!. Generally, Virgoes like the colour!. Why!? Possibly because it calms their nerves!.
Black seems to be mysterious!. I don't personally think it is, but let's stick with general!. Black is Scorpio's colour!. Being a Scorpio sun myself, I understand that Scorpio's like to be mysterious!. Some even intentionally act mysterious, just to make people believe they are mysterious!. Black just helps them achieve that mysterious image of theirs!.
Two exceptions are myself and my mother, both Scorpio sun!. We both love the colour purple!. For different reasons!. I like it because it's a rich, thick colour!. I also work with colour in my drawings, so it's only normal that any colour says something different to me!. Purple makes me feel comfortable and yes, my appartment is mostly purple!. My mother, however, being the self-proclaimed pinnacle of Scorpio-ness, she likes purple too!. And her manner of thinking is absolutely brilliant! !.!.!. In a funny, joking kind of way!. I asked her why she loves the colour purple so much!. She says it's the colour of death!. I say "oh!?" and ask her why in the name of!.!.!. pete (I'm not religious) she thinks that!. She replies that it is because Priests always wear purple in their attires!. I argue that they wear it because it's a *spiritual* colour, and it makes them seem closer to God!. She disagrees!. Oh well!.
So, purple is Sagittarius' colour!. Why!? I can only tell you how I feel when surrounded by purple!. Comfortable, warm!. Relaxed!. As if I'm in another culture altogether!. Okay, that's a bit relative; I doubt that people in a culture where the colour purple is used a lot (like India), they'd still feel as if they were on a holiday when seeing that colour!. But it's also the colour of spirituality!. Why, I don't know!. What I do remember from the rakes of books I read on witchcraft, is that the colour purple has always been associated with the spiritual!. The supernatural, rituals etc!. So it has been for thousands of years!. What ever got into those people, don't ask me, but it goes from generation to generation and now it's a given!. also sagittarius is the sign that governs spirituality, rituals, the supernatural!.!.!. and cultures, adventure, and everything involved!. That's why purple is the colour of Sagittarius!.

Reason enough to imagine why I like all colours!.
