Question: Did Aquarius chicken out, or what!?
A good friend and I met up today, basically because I declared how I feel about him and we needed to talk about it!.
He has a long distance gf on the other side of the world!. They havent seen each other for over a year, hes not going there, shes not coming here!. So I made my declaration and gave him the option of beginning something new w me, staying with her, or me waiting as long as he needed!.
So he came and we were both nervous and he was a bit detached!. We started to talk about other things and we walked and laughed all afternoon!. In the end, we didnt talk about "us" at all!. As we were parting, he said "well get together and talk about the other stuff during the week"!.!.!.
Is this a good sign or a bad sign!? Did he chicken out, change his mind, or what!? What do you think!?

I'm a Capricorn-Aquarius and have many other Aquarian friends and so perhaps I could be of some help!.
We Aquarians are not very good with dealing with others' emotions, especially when we feel it threatens our independence and freedom!. It doesn't mean we lack emotions ourselves and cannot emphasize with others but it means we simply are just not comfortable with emotional scenarios!. I think that just by the fact that he showed up and didn't make an excuse to not be there shows that he truly does care about you, but whether just as a friend or more only he knows!.
Give it some time, give him his space and let him think things over!. We love thinking; you'll be doing him a favor!. Show him that you value your freedom and independence just as much as he does and that you've got many other things going on for you as well!. That will show him you’re not going to be clinging onto his life and his dreams because you’ve got your own to fulfill like he does!. Whatever you do, don't make him pick over his current girlfriend and you!. That is probably the worst thing you could do, don't even touch the subject at all!. Honesty and trustworthiness are ideas we based our life on and if he cannot be honest and loyal to his girlfriend then he will feel as if he has failed himself as a human being!. Not only will you be stepping on his freedom but also on his ego, and by doing so you will lose him in more ways than just as a potential partner but you will lose his respect to you as well!.
Like I said, give him some time and let him set things straight with his current girlfriend!. After that, give him more time and space!. soo I'm an Aquarius, and he probably just didn't know how to deal with the situation at the moment!. I mean I know I like to think about the big thing and then kinda deal with the issue!.
Apart from being an Aquarius, the SAMEE exact thing happened to me!.
I told my best friend I was into him!. We were a little awkward for like a day, and then we just talked about other stuff, and i guess kinda pretended like nothing had happened!. He did the same thing, he said "we'll talk about this later, and figure stuff out"
You need to make sure he actually follows thru, cuz me and this guy never ended up talking about anything, we kinda just pretended that nothing had happened, so that we could have things be normal cuz its easier that way!. (I guess we just wanted a drama free last week together before we went our separate ways for summer) We still havent talked about naything, we just pretend that nothing has ever happened!. TALK TO HIM!.

Honestly, it was an error on your part to tell him you'd wait as long as he needs!. Seriously, that's like music to the ears of an Aqaurias male, but unfortunately it sets you up for an indefinite period of hot and cold back and forth behavior from Aqua man!. His relationship with this other girl is from a distance, and maybe he likes it that way!.
This could play out in different ways!. Either he'll take time to think over what you said and sincerely meant that you two would get together later on to discuss it, or you're about to get the brush off!. OR, he will carry on like nothing ever happend until you press him about it, and he'll tell you that he's comfortable with being friends for now!. This will leave you guessing and wondering whether or not you should continue to give him all the time in the world and wait for him to come around!. I had a similar experience with an Aquarius and I can tell you right now it would be a mistake to hold on indefinitely while you wait for him to decide!. He's known you for a while and he's a good friend, which means he should already know how he feels about you!. It's not really a complicated thing to know if you care for someone as more than a friend or not!. You need to decide where YOU stand and then tell him either you're going to be together as a couple or you're going to remain friends, either way you care about him and always will!. If he decides that you are only going to be friends then I would take his word for it!. I wouldn't leave yourself open while he decides what it is he wants indefinitely!.
