Okay, so you see someone being picked on or beaten up - what do you do!? All of the people involved are complete strangers to you!. Do you wait a little bit to get a clearer picture of what is going on (after all the person taking the beating could have desrved it!.!.!.) or do you immediately and instinctively feel as though you should stand up and help this person no matter what the situation may be!?

I will always start by saying something like "Hey!.!.!. what the hell is going on here!.!.!." and see what happens!. I would never ever stand and watch someone being beaten and do nothing!. There is no way to know if anyone "deserves" it and that kind of talk is pretty cold!.

Truthfully, I would just forget about it and move on with my life!. It's none of my business, and not my problem!. I don't know the people and have no understanding of the situation!. Whether that person deserves it or not, I would only create problems for myself by getting involved, and there are too many people in the world to care for everyone!. I do not pretend to have compassion for the whole world!. I care about those that are close to me, but the rest are just not an issue for me!. I may feel sorry for that person, but I'm only human and can only do so much!.

seriously i would look quickly to see whats going on, and then run to the bullies and ask them to back to off, and grab the person being picked and bring them to me, if the bullies stop me from doing that i will push them away from me hard, and if they still wont let me through, im gon beat the **** outa whoever gets in my way !. !. !. seriously, i wil be soo pisseeeddd!!

I would shout to let them know I see them and let them know I'm calling the police!. That's IF I was in an open and public space!. If it was a dark alley I would silently call the police and wait discreetly to make sure they don't kill the person!. That would haunt me for the rest of my life whether they deserved a beatdown or not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The person being picked on, or the one that has been bullied is the one I stand up for!. Basically, the one that did nothing to deserve what has happened to them!.
I feel compelled to tell the bully what I think, and why they shouldn't bother the person anymore!. I try to be reasonable and mature, but, sometimes, people get me so irritated!.
Edit: Oh! I didn't really read the strangers part!.!.!.!.err!.!.!.!.that might change things up a little!. I mean, I wouldn't try to be heroic and step in!. That's not smart!.

No, I stand there and watch!. I dont like to get involved in other peoples business!. It makes me uncomfortable!. Unless I see that the person getting picked on is seriously getting hurt emotionally, Then I intervene!.Just being honest!.

If two guys are fighting each other!.!.!.!.!.well I would try to attract attention from people nearby and ask or call the police!. I would not have the strength to intervene myself!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.although who knows I might be like one of those girls you see in westerns movies picking up a bottle and smashing the head of whoever is beating the other guy into a pulp!.
If a guy is beating a girl!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I think I might do the same and go on the side of the girl!.
If a girl is beating up a guy ( never saw it) : same!.!.!.taking the defense of whoever is being the weakest!.!.!.but certainly always call the police and help around!.

Once I was with a boyfriend and we witnessed a guy beating up a girl on the street!. My boyfriend tried to intervene and what happened !?!?!? The girl turned against him and told him to mind his own business !!!!
