The same Quality / Mode can get along if they love war!. By that, I mean if you put a Leo and a Scorpio together, Scorpio would want to control the situation and Leo doesn't like to be Boss!. Both are stubborn and neither will give in!.
Now, with Taurus and Scorpio, forget it!. Taurus is the most stubborn and once their mind are set on a thing, they won't change nor give in!.
Having said this, their wuld have to be strong modifying aspects to offset this and make them more open to suggestions!.

I am sure there are TONS of people worldwide who get on with completely supposedly non compatible signs!. There are other planets etc in the chart!.
I saw a question : would Gemini and Cancer get along!. I did not bother answering it!. Those were the signs of my grand-parents who got on fabulously well!. I saw their charts!.!.!.!.!.!.but there is more than that!.
