Answers:
ok, this is my basic understanding!.!.
the sun (or star) sign is pretty much how other people see you, its the way you ACT out your moon sign traits!. your moon sign is how you see yourself, youre feelings, all the inner workings!. and the rising is "the face" u put on in public

you can find your moon sign here: http://lunarium!.co!.uk/sign!.php
rising sign here: http://www!.horoscopeswithin!.com/calculat!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Google search a site that will give you a picture of your chart for free!. Enter your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth!. (If you don't have time of birth, you won't know what your ascendant is!.)

The circle with a dot is your Sun!. It will reside in one of the twelve signs of the zodiac!. The Sun represents your outer self and conscious being in the world!. Astronomically, the Sun comprises 99!.8% of the mass of the solar system!. So astrologically speaking, the Sun is allegorically the core of your personality - astrologers would typically pay a lot of attention to it in your chart!.

The crescent shape is your Moon!. The Moon is also a very influential planet in your chart and represents your inner emotions and unconscious!. It's the closest planet to earth (astrologers call the Moon a planet, even though it's really not a planet)!. So its proximity makes it very important in astronomy and astrologers also consider it to be very influential in a chart!.

The horizontal line starting at the left side of your chart on the zodiac is your ascendant!. It represents how you appear to the world!. It's also the first house cusp!. VERY important!. It is so important that it dictates the houses in which your Sun, Moon, and the other planets reside!.

Please pm me if you have further questions - I will be happy to answer - I love teaching and mentoring and I think part of the reason is because my Jupiter is in Aquarius, in the third house no less! :^)Www@Enter-QA@Com

This is a really neat site for beginners!.!.!.It's kind of lengthy but it breaks it down into simple terms and helps explain things a bit easier! It's kind of lengthy but worth it!
http://lessons!.astrology!.com/course/show!.!.!.

After reading up on it a bit - here is a link that gives you a basic (free) birth chart!.!.!.!.It's not the best, but it is simple - at least until you are more comfortable with the placements, houses, planets, aspects and so on! But this one is good for a first timer - you can always check out other sites!.!.!.!. but I prefer this one for beginners :
