Question: How are Leos selfish if websites describe them as generous!?
I don't get how everyone says, "Leos are the most self absorbed, selfish people on the planet!."
Self centered means selfish!? I thought selfish was not sharing, or thinking your so important that you wouldn't sacrifice a thing for anyone!.

Leo's are very giving!. BUT it is a giving with strings attached!. They expect something in return!.!.!. not always monetary either!. They might want something as simple as acknowledgement for want they give!. Or they might expect to be loved!. It is all a matter of degrees!. This is one of the big things people with lots of Leo have to work on!. It is something I have to work on!. I do better giving to strangers because I know that I won't expect anything in return!. I think people are using the word 'selfish' incorrectly!. Leos are known for being self-absorbed - but this does not mean that a leo influence makes a person selfish!. They are very generous, but much of their thought revolves around themselves!.
If you ask them they will give you anything most of the time, so they are not selfish!. But a leo influence can make a person self-absorbed in that they may feel like the world spins around them - they are, after all, ruled by the sun, so it makes sense why they would think in this way!. It is harder for them to empathise with others because they think more in terms of themselves than in terms of other people!.

Every Leo I know is generous and self-absorbed!. If they care about you, you will be in their thoughts because you are a part if their world!. They are at least generous to who they care about!.
My dad is a triple Leo (Leo Sun, Leo Moon, Leo Rising) and he is generous with everything in his life!. Especially when it comes to money/ material things!.
My mom's sun sign is Leo, and she is definately not greedy or a tightwad with her money or love!.

However, the Leos I know are generous WITHIN their own terms and world!. They do tend to have set ideas and expectations!. Within those limit they will give you anything!. As soon as something isn't normal or "to be expected" to them, they can flatline a little!.
My Leo ex would give me everything!. But only his way, not my way!. He wanted to "love me right" - HIS WAY!. He didn't know any other way and didn't want to try any other way!. Within his own terms he would give me everything!. But as soon as I needed space or time, he would just demand it his way!. As long as things happened his way, he was very generous!.
However not all Leos are the same!. Some have experiences or genes that eliminate qualities that are considered typical to Leo!. Some Leos learn that their way isn't the only way at a young age already, some get stuck!. It is a typical Leo problem, but it isn't a given problem for all Leos!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

One doesn't necessarily have to do with the other!. You can be generous yet still calculate things to your best interest!.
Leo are usually financially generous!.!.!.!.they are big spenders and will pay for most of their friends without a second thought----the self-interest part is the kudos they get for doing it!.
My sister is super duper generous!.!.!.!.she'll do anything for anybody and all they have to do (which they always do) is say how sweet she is or nice or whatever!. She thrives on it!.
Their generosity I think comes naturally along with their need for praise!.

All my Leo friends are very generous too!.!.!.but being selfish doesnt necessarily mean they dont give, I think it means they like to be the center of attention!.!.and will be kind of on the pushy side to get that way which is fine, it just clashes with some other signs!. A LOT of my Leo friends love to talk about themselves, and themselves only, they arnt the best listeners!.!.!.they interrupt a little bit but they arnt like these total bitches as sometimes described!. By the look of your other questions, looks like you have doubts!. Is it possible that astrology can't do what it claim to do!? In what areas does it do better than chance!?
Edit: If astrology can't see their flaws and deal with them, others certainly will see them!. That put astrology always on the defensive!. It seems that sometimes it has more exceptions than rules!.
Edit: Those that make the claims must supply the evidence!. I do not try to disprove, I'm looking for proof!. If astrology is so great, so accurate, so vital, the evidence hides very well!. also there is a million dollars waiting for over ten years for anyone that can prove anything paranormal!.
