Yes, I think it shows the general characteristics of someone's personality!. I don't think that you could go off only one sign (ex sun sign) to find characteristics of a person either!.
However, I do think that some people rely on astrology way too much!. It's a nice guideline and fun reading, I mean I love astrology and have for the past three years I've researched it!.!.!. but you can't ALWAYS count on it, sometimes it's up to you!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

to some degree yes!. though astrology cant really determine someones personality!. although someones star sign somehow seems to be relevant to some aspect of their personality- for example virgos- every virgo ive ever know is always clean and organized, or have some form of order in their lives!.
