yods are common , but they are rare in bundle chart type when planets are close together and form stelliums!. Yods are more common in splash chart and bucket chart, also fan chart!.
Mercury does not have a rare aspect , since mercury is a fast moving planet and it can make aspect to any other planet!. The same goes with the moon and venus , also mars!. Actually, I dont think there is any rare aspect, since the faster moving planets always make aspect to the slower moving ones and get affected by them!.
The rarest chart type in my opinion, is the splash chart where you have 10 different planets in 10 different signs!. Normally mercury or venus is in the same sign with the sun, or both !. A splash chart would mean that mercury and venus have to be in different sign that is different from the sun!. also, splash chart require that each house only occupy 1 planet , with 1 house is allowed to have a conjunction ( 2 planets ) , and there should be no 2 consecutive empty houses!.
Aspects energies manifest different, so you can not tell which one is more powerful than the other!. If you talk about power and physical strength, physical energy, it is mars department , and mars making aspect to Jupiter, Sun, Pluto gives great stamina, energy and strength!. If you talk about strength in dealing with people emotions, then moon is at work!. Moon aspect to Pluto,Neptune would be great!. If you talk about hardworking power, then saturn making aspect to Sun/mars could indicate this!. Furthermore, the power of these aspects also manifest differently depending on the houses they are in!.
