Hypothetical question about cusps.....If your natal chart shows 28 degrees Aries!

Question: Hypothetical question about cusps!.!.!.!.!.If your natal chart shows 28 degrees Aries on the cusp of the 2nd house !?
That would mean that the most of what is inside the house is influenced by Taurus, right!? or, is the 2nd house still predominantly Aries influenced because it is owned by Aries!? No planets are in the house!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
If there are no planets within the house, then Aries will have the most influence on the 2nd house!. You would also take into consideration where the ruler of the house (Mars in this case) falls within the chart AND the aspects it makes!.

Janet- For an example of this, you could look at my chart!. My 2nd house cusp is at the end of Leo!. But I also have 5 Virgo planets within the house including the Sun which is the ruler of the second house further emphasizing Virgo!. It is predominantly Virgo!. If the house was empty and my Sun was in another house, the focus would be more Leo influenced!. I hope I didnt confuse things more!. It just really depends on the individual chart!.

psst!.!.!. Entertainer- sign cusps don't exist but house cusps do!.

Moondie- you need to look into interceptions!. He has Leo intercepted in his 6th house!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't think about cusps too often when I'm looking at a chart!. I'm mainly an aspectarian because that is what part of astrology fascinates me!. With no planets in Taurus blending into the mix, and the ruler of the house being the ruler of Aries, I would think it is mainly influenced by Aries!. This is based on what I've studied!.

Interesting question!. I've wondered about Libra rising in the same way!. Sometimes, Libra risings look and act more in keeping with what is defined for Scorpio!.

I'd like to think about this some more!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You are correct!.

This is a huge reason why I feel that Vedic Astrology is simpler!. Since the Vedic Zodiac does not drift with the procession of equinoxes, but stays fixed to the galactic constellations, we can still utilize the ancient system where 1 sign equals 1 house!. So clear cut, I love it!.

In the ancient system it is actually the signs that CREATE the houses, thus the entire sign is the entire house!. It's too bad Western Astrology needed to deviate from this fundamental principle, but it probably helps keep some accuracy in that system!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

that's a great question!. I wondered that too!. my man's 6th house cusp is the end of cancer, but the rest is leo and the beginning of virgo too!. so the entire leo is engulfed in the 6th house with cancer 29 degrees at the cusp and virgo 2 degrees at the end!. No planets in that house though!.

I would agree with the statement that the sign on the cusp would be the influence if there are no planets in that house!.

*Ok thanks Jamie I will look into itWww@Enter-QA@Com

Hi!
The house is strongly influenced by the sign on the cusp!. You would look for the ruler of the sign on the cusp, too, to see what it was doing!. (ie, Where is Mars!?)

Doesn't matter that it's so late!.

I personally believe it would be all aries with not taurus influence!. I don't think cusps exist, but other people think differently!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That's an EXCELLENT QUESTION !. I asked a similar question a while ago but the answers were not convincing !. I'd really like to know the answer!.!.!.!.!.sorry for not answering but i really don't know!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
