most of them are very unreal and highly superficial, especially the western version of asian horror movies like the ring, the phone, etc!. so i dont expect to get scared at all by watching them but i do look out for the excellent graphics and make up manipulation!. 'scary movie' and its sequel is my comedy fave though!.
in my opinion, the most gorey-est, scary-est and violent of all in the western horror/violent movie/filming industry history is 'cannibal holocaust'!. i was eating a double cheeseburger while watching this at home with my friends!. we nearly choked on it and couldnt eat meat for days!.
now, if anyone can stomach that movie and watch repeats, only heaven knows what's in their pluto placements!. lol!.

I like scary movies!.!.!.not ones where it's like random torturing like Saw though!.
Violent movies are cool too, especially when it's so fake you can make fun of it!.
I'm fine with gory movies as long as it's not going over the line like Saw does!.

Love Horror movies! The first scary movie I ever saw was the original black and white version of King Kong - lol - which I had to watch The Wizard of Oz after watching (every single time), so that I wouldn't have nightmares!.!.!.lol!. The first scary movie that I can remember seeing at the theater was The Howling - I was little! Holy crap at how scared I was! LOL! Ever since I can remember - I loved them, no matter how scary they were! Every October I have a sort of Horror/Scary movie marathon for the whole month as a countdown to Halloween! I totally agree isabelle, danger, silly jc! i also love good plot in movies, gorey makes me to throw and violent to lock me in my room, but sometimes i enjoy scary movies like the ring and yesterday i watched mirrors i liked it!.!.!.!. but the plot was so poor!.!.!.!. i can't wait for james bond!.!.!.!.

Scary movies are great!. Any brilliant portrayal of any emotion is, I think, worth watching as it is a piece of art!.
A useless bunch of crap where girls in their underwear get sliced to pieces is, in my opinion, a despicable black mark on human existence!. Largely sexist, of course, and stupid!. I mean if you love blood and guts so much go save yourself from the torment and spill your own entrails and get it over with already!. I think an interest in those movies just signifies a feeling of a lack of control over other people!. I find those types of movies to be highly offensive, particularly as a woman!.

I hate these movies!. I think they desensitise after a while!. The horror of murder, violence and such like becomes common place and somehow acceptable!. They have gone too far with this genre!.

=| I do not like them!. If I watch them, they stay with me, in the most haunting way possible!. And I don't need that!. I'm already paranoid enough of someone BURSTING through my door at 2am while I'm sleeping, cutting my hands off (which will wake me up) and then start biting kittens heads off while I watch chained to my bed in horror!. It depends on how their are done!. I don't like chainsaw stuff, Chucky or Saw!. I do love Steven King because it's done well and usually has a balance of intrigue, good writing, humor, music and acting!.

I really enjoy watchin' them ! But to be honest I always have hard time sleeping after watchin' scary movies, but not ALL scary movies, like the silly ones!.!.!.I'm talkin about movies like The Exorcism of Emily Rose !.!.!.!. damn I couldn't sleep well for like 2 weeks because of it -_-

I love them!. I could watch the most horrendous movie possible, and love it just the same!. The more blood, gore, and violence, the better! I wish that the movies they put out weren't so tame!.

Gosh I hate horror movies,I like comedy and action movies only!.
Maybe some dramatic comedy or a funny love story!.
