Psychics, should i text him?!

hiya this question is mainly for psychics, well we were going out for coming up to 4 years this june but he dumped me through text message and is now going out with the woman who is 15 years older than him and has 3 kids 1 of which is his age, he said he wasn't interested in her when i asked him if he was breaking up with me for her, he had also lost his job, i have stayed in contact with him family who have said that he has changed alot (i didn't ask they just told me) he used to be a family man but now he is a drinking man, well my question is on his facebook a couple of days ago he had that he was pissed of with himself and now its got that he is very depressed, now i know that when he was depressed b4 is used to cut himself (b4 we were going out) i just won't to make sure he is ok but im not sure if i should text him as we haven't had contact since we split!. what would you suggest!?
