I mean, I do care about what others think of me!. But only when those folks are people that are close to me or people that I respect!. The random people that I don't have respect for, I don't give a rat's a** about what they think of me or care about their lives!.

In my honest opinion, anybody who says they don't care about what others think is only covering up the fact that they actually do care a lot!. Even if they put on an aloof, uncaring air, it's because they choose to appear this way to others!. Now, honestly, it's not something I think about every single second of the day!. I normally live my life, and take people as they come!. There are too many people in this world to care about what everyone thinks!. However, I think in order to be successful in the work world, we kind of do have to care!. When you are close to someone, they will accept you for who you are (Hopefully), but unfortunately, the rest of the world isn't always like that!. I don't think that you should change who you are to make others happy!. I do believe, though, that you have to care just a little to get a bit of motivation to better yourself!. There's a difference between caring about what others think and obsessing over it!.

Of course I care, I'm only human for pete's sake!. I care to a certain level, but I would never try to change myself for another person!. Everyone has good and bad points, it's up to you whether you want to focus on the bad or embrace the good!. Screw the people pointing out your bad points, they don't KNOW you, they're just insecure and feel all mighty when they see you hurting!. I don't believe one person who says they don't care what people think, if they say they don't care, they're only just trying to protect themselves from other people thinking they're vulnerable and weak!. That's not true though, you're actually stronger for admitting I think!. Over time you can care less then you did before, but you can never stop caring fully!.

I actually do but not in the same way most people who are conscious of what other people think of them are!. Okay, so in the astronomical chance that I do something phenomenal and people get jealous, I sorta rub it in their face!. Yeah!. I don't say it, but my body language just screams "Now somebody follow that!" then I try to top my last bedazzlement just to annoy people more!. When I'm in my usual mood and people get irritated by my behavior, I magnify that behavior to give them something to really hate me for!.
It makes me controversial and it taints my image a bit but hey, arrogance helps me excel in things that are permanent!.

I do care,since I care for my reputation;it's like the celebrities,they always seem to care what the paparazzi might think of them!.
It's like I am the celebrity and the people are the paparazzis,always got to keep a good reputation since they can ruin it with one word!.
It's like 'Danger' said!.
If they don't believe I can do something, I don't work that hard to achieve stuff and I can easily prove that they're wrong; it's more amusing how people think that some things are really hard when in reality they're really easy,and I do it just for the sake of defeating them and winning!.

I agree with everything Rach said!. But there is more to it for me!. I have several planets in Virgo!. Nobody can pick me apart better than I can!. I also have Leo Asc and Moon and Mars in first!. I probably cared way too much what others thought of me when I was younger!. I expected the rest of the world to be a mirror for me!. It took me awhile to realize that most of the world was a fun house with very distorted mirrors!. lol I learned to discriminate!. I care what the people who have taken time to truly know me and care about me think about me!. I care what my boss thinks of me because he can impact my ability to pay my bills!. lol Everyone else falls somewhere between very little and not at all!. I've been known to purposely get under the skin of people who have decided not to like me for no reason by exaggerating whatever trait it is that bothers them!. It's all in good fun, of course!. I try not to care what other people think about me, but a lot of times I do care and if I feel disturbed if it is something that is said to me that is mean, and I kind of dissect what was said to me, of course I don't tell anyone about it, unless it is a really close friend of mine!.

But, I am not going to stop and go cry about it!.!.!.!.YES I care, but then it passes & I move on!.

To a certain extent i do care but only because i don't want there to be any misunderstandings!. I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong idea about me(people who matter) but at the end of the day nobody knows me better than me!.
