Obama's birth year (19561) is pretty early for the Pluto/Uranus conjunction generation!. He has had his Uranian opposition already!.
As for the Pluto/Uranus generation in general!.!.!. transiting Pluto in Capricorn will be trining that natal Pluto/Uranus over the next 10-14 years!.!.!. I could certainly imagine a generation dedicated to turning everything upside down (Uranus) while cleaning out the past and transforming us (Pluto) as a society!.!.!. and doing so in a practical and useful way (Virgo & Capricorn)
I see the Pluto/Uranus generation as the ones who helped escort us into the computer/internet age!.!.!. That's Virgo energies channeling the Pluto/Uranus power!.!.!. a meticulous and detailed transformation upending the way society functions!.!.!.
The 60s saw an upheaval to traditional societal structure, but there was no staying power to those changes!.!.!. we got lost in the attention to details and missed the big picture!. Pluto in Capricorn will easily keep the big picture in focus!. Alright, I'm not an astrologer, but I'm going to take a shot at this!.
Virgo is all about details and Uranus is all about change!. To me, I kind of see it as a way to "change the details" to benefit everyone!. Obama kind of shows that with his economical plan and his way of using taxes!. Uranus causes a widespread effect, it's not just on an individual but a nation or globally, if you will!. Pluto conjunct Uranus is a rare conjunction and when it does happen there is usually a big social change!. To me, it represents Obama's need to want to create a social change that will effect everyone so that we can coexist and unite ourselves instead of dividing ourselves further!. So, a widespread transformation focusing on the details, but ultimately benefiting everyone positively!. Since both Obama and Palin were born in a time of unrest and rebellion perhaps they are striving for the very opposite, but in different ways!.
