Cancer!.
When I'm around Cancers (specifically my uncle, favorite teacher, and close friend), my energy is tempered!. They force me to slow down a little in their presence!. I learn to listen and think before I speak!. I learn the importance of carefully considering the feelings of others as well as being loyal to my family!.
I really feel I'm on my best behavior around Cancers because they teach me humility and give me that nurturing love I'm usually so afraid to accept!.
The Geminis in my life have also taught me a lot, albeit in very painful ways!. They hold a mirror up and say, "this is why your assumptions about yourself are essentially false!." My behavior around them is extreme (highs and lows)!. I'm at my worst, and I'm at my best!.
A Gemini was the first person to show me what true friendship looks like, and a Gemini was the first person to truly break my heart!. Those experiences made me a more responsible, caring Sagittarius!. They made me more careful about indulging in hypocrisy!. Scorpio!. My boyfriend, to be exact!. His extreme passion and intensity shocked me a little at first and was a little overwhelming, but he embraced his emotions when he felt comfortable, and taught me to do the same!. My parents tell me that I can be extremely cold and unemotional, which I can see why!. But with him, I'm the complete opposite, and I love it!.
Aries!. My friend taught me to take a chance and jump in and do things without thinking so much about them first!. Whereas the answer for her was "action" and mine was "thinking", she taught me a lot!.
Sagittarius!. I simply don't understand my mother's way of thinking sometimes!. While I enjoy living in the real world, she's much too much of an optimist for me, but sometimes, it's a little refreshing - even though I usually end up disagreeing with her anyway!.
