Most people that don't believe in astrology think their right and everyone else is wrong about it!. Some people can't believe in something that can't be explained to them but most of us that do believe in astrology know that not everything can or has to be explained!. I don't pay skeptics or the unbelievers any attention when they say mean or stupid things!. Just ignore them!. They only make themselves look stupid!

It makes them feel better about themselves to tease or mock others for their supposed ignorance (this is not confined to skeptics, you'll notice!.)

I am probably not in the best position to answer this question, as I am somewhat skeptically minded myself, but I think that they do it because they genuinely believe that people who believe in things that cannot be rationally or empirically explained are misinformed and need to be told otherwise!. What they fail to grasp is that there is a possibility that people have spent a great deal of time contemplating what they believe and have chosen to believe in it in spite of all empirical evidence (or lackthereof; it makes me irritable when someone makes a definite statement on something that has not even been studied by a peer reviewed journal) to the contrary!. That being said, if someone asks a psychic if they are pregnant I tend to roll my eyes, simply because it would be so much easier to go buy an OTC home pregnancy test and find out themselves!. Most likely there is a prominent problem with Saturn in their charts!!! The need to prove themselves and force their views, and the absolutism in their own opinions is tell-tale!
