If Taurus and Libra are ruled by Venus and Virgo and Gemini are ruled by Mercury!
Question: If Taurus and Libra are ruled by Venus and Virgo and Gemini are ruled by Mercury !?
And even though two of them are earth signs and the other two are air signs, then why does it say that these zodiacs are not such a good combination!? My sister is a Capricorn and her husband is an Aquarius!. Neither of them are in the same element, let alone ruled by the same planet, and their marriage is as good as anybody else's!. And those two they say are one of the worst pairings!? It's as the saying goes, "opposites attract!." So, how do you figure what the literature says and actually being in that situation and seeing for yourself!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

earth signs are fundamentally different from air signs!. that's why the more different u are, the more u have to work @ it!.
with Taurus, they can be pretty stubborn even though loving, and Libra is natural diplomat but also very self-centered!. Taurus is Fixed sign and Libra is a Cardinal sign!. there are other factors than elements!.
Virgo are conscientious and pessimistic while Gemini are like chameleons and intelligent comics!. it's a lot of traits that differ!. Gemini change like quicksilver and Virgo tend to be conventional and fussy!.
I am glad to hear Capricorn & Aquarius combo (b/c I'm an Aquarius) but u gotta consider other things as well!. Is this Aquarius ruled by Saturn or Uranus!? u have to consider their birth time & place!. they say its not best pairing b/c Capricorns are about social status and security and Aquarius is all freedom-loving and unpredictable!.

Actually Capricorn and Aquarius are ruled by Saturn!. Aquarius is Co-ruled by saturn but ruled by Uranus!. Earth and Air signs are polar opposites, while Earth signs have a feminine polarity Air signs have a masculine polarity!. They find each other interesting!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Firstly, any compatibility analysis has to take into account the entire charts of the two people involved!.
Secondly, there's a lot of confusion out there about rulerships and what they actually mean!. Rulership does not mean "this planet is the most similar to this zodiac sign!." If we want to talk about that, then what we're really discussing is affinity or similarity!. Rulership is more of a complex system for evaluating the strength of planets in a chart and deciding what is in charge of what; it has nothing to do with their descriptions being similar!. This is why I adhere to the traditional rulerships: Sun & Moon getting one sign each, while the other planets up to Saturn get two each!. For Aquarius as an example, I would say it is Ruled by Saturn, but that it has affinity with Uranus!.
As far as the signs you mention not being "compatible," that's not necessarily the case!. It's just that signs work easier with other signs in the same element or complementary elements: Fire with Air and Earth with Water!. But the others can and do work in practice!. My husband and I both have Mars ruled Sun signs: I'm an Aries and he's a Scorpio!. Now there's a lot of stuff we have in common from Mars, but it expresses itself differently in Fire than it does in Water!. My Mars influence tends to come right out in the open and be very upfront, his is more repressed and hidden, even though we both have Mars in the sign of Leo!. It's not incompatible, just different ways of expression!.
