Question: How does a person with an unknown time find their asc!.!? How did you know it personally!?
What does a person do to even get a well educated guess on their rising sign!?
I heard about something called rectification or something like that, but is it accurate & how do you do it!?
Or anyone care to share how they found their birth time if it was not written down anywhere!? If it was where was it!? Do tell :)

If there's really no chance of tracking down a birth certificate, or a baby book, or a relative that can remember the exact time, you may have to go with rectification!. You should look for an astrologer that specializes in it, as not all of us do!. (I don't myself!.)
Rectification involves finding the birthtime by taking as many important events in your life as possible and looking at the transits on those dates to get an idea of what angles were being hit!. Once an astrologer can determine the Ascendant and the Midheaven with a reasonable degree of confidence, the rest of the chart can be drawn up with that time!. It's still not 100% but it's better than nothing!. :)
the one and only rectification I ever attempted was my husband's!. For the longest time, his mother said he was born sometime between 12am and 1am!. So I guesstimated a time!. I was fairly sure he was a Leo Rising!. A few years ago when my husband's grandmother died, his mom was going through her things and found his old baby book!. In it there was one of those cards with the baby photo in it that had his exact birth-time, and it wasn't rounded off either! Turns out the ASC I had picked was only about 9 degrees off, but I think I was only able to get that close because I knew him so well by then!.

Ditto!. We call it rectifying!. Major events in your life!. For example, did you move, did you have a sibling born, a relative die, your dad or mom suffered a tramantic event, when did your sun change signs, those types of things and the age they happened will all help pinpoint your ascendant!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
You can't know for sure unless you have the time of birth!. you can seem like a particular rising sign, but you'll never be 100% sure!. it's best to ask your parents if they remember the exact time of birth!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
