have you ever told a story/anecdote that people think you made up?

For example, the landlord of my old house was a builder by trade, and his name was Bob, one day I was helping him clean up along with someone else and they turned round and said "Can you pass me the Sponge bob!" I had great difficulty in keeping a straight face

well.. i watch spongebob, its cute.. bob the builder is for really small kids..
i guess its just a coincidence that both have similar names..
