The joke, "So you want a day off? ...there are 365 days in the year..."!

Question:

The joke, "So you want a day off? ...there are 365 days in the year..." Who is author, or from what country?

It's an old joke, my dad's friend in Japan said that he read it in a book which says that it's originally from Japan. However my dad had sent a copy of it to his friend some 20 years ago and my dad says it originated in the U.S. I've researched on the Internet and it says author unknown. Anyone know who or which country had the joke first?

It starts off..."So you want the day off? Let's take a look at what you are asking for.... There are 365 days per year available for work. There are 52 weeks per year in which you already have 2 days off per week, leaving 261 days available for work..."
