What do you think of my joke?!
Question:
What do you think of my joke?
I was trying to think of some ironic observational humor (a joke on various concepts of life) and then I thought of one on centered on television and laugh tracks while watching a sitcom.
"On the subject of laugh tracks, people must think we're pretty stupid if they have an idiot box telling us when to laugh."
Although I personally I think it's mildly ironic, it would be a lot more if I changed it to this:
"On the subject of laugh tracks, people must think we're pretty stupid if they have an idiot box telling us when to laugh. *Laugh Track*."
The reason why I think the original statement is ironic is because the TV is telling us when to laugh, a simple function we're capable of, even though itself is called an idiot box. The second statement is even more ironic because even though I demonstrate that I'm against laugh tracks, I end up using one to tell my readers when to laugh.
Is this ironic and if so, what kind?
Is this funny and how can it be improved?

By the way, do you think that making a joke against laugh tracks while watching a sitcom with laugh tracks is ironic?
