Why is it, that when people leave a friend's or family's house, and it's usually!

Question:

Why is it, that when people leave a friend's or family's house, and it's usually about 2330hrs the day before

most of us have to go to work, they do the following?

1) Open the front door and continue chatting loudly.
2) The visitors walk down to the car and the family/friends stand at the doorway and the conversation continues, even louder.
3) They then have to open the car doors, slam them, wind down the windows and continue the conversation.
4) Finally shut up, before starting the car, crunching the gears, driving up to the end of the road, before turning round and beeping their horn twice, whilst the family/friends wave and shout bye bye ! VERY LOUDLY!

Do these people not realise there are other people in the neighbourhood ? That some of us are trying to sleep ? That when we shout "Will you shut up some of us have work tomorrow!" we mean them and not some other person.

On behalf of all sane and considerate people in this world I will say leave quietly at that time of night, some of us want to sleep and some people have young children who are trying to sleep!

Thank you.

Answers:

I think that when the noise goes on and on it can be annoying especially when you have neighbourhood kids hanging around and carrying on.

Family goodbyes however do not bug me because I think that it is so funny and typical of everyone after they leave to do it in stages. I am just glad that they have family and it makes me miss mine even more! Happening every night is one thing but occassionally, c'mon don't be an Oscar the Grouch! You're too cute to stay mad!
