Why are men always the portrayed objects of jokes/ridicule in the media?
It's always the dumb ignorant man who just doesn't get it in the commercial. The woman always keeps her composure, knows how to fix the situation.
T.V. shows/movies can get a laugh by portraying men having little more intelligence than a dog - never women.
Switch the rolls? Oh never.
People would say the man is being abusive by pointing out a womans shortcomings or if the woman somehow got the bad end of the deal (whatever the situation may be).
People take similar stances when it comes to minorities.
Good example: a black man can say something like "walking or talking like a whiteboy" & most people will laugh or at the least not object.
If a white man said "walking or talking like a blackboy" . . well you get my point.

I noticed that in the action movies the last few years it's always the woman that is the stronger (Terminator 3 the female terminator was greater than Arnie) the woman who becomes king of all the men (Pirates of the Cari bean 3) the woman who is smarter, saves the men and ........... she's always sexy and petite .
