How much is that doggy in the window?!

Question:

How much is that doggy in the window?

(the one with the waggely tail).

Answers:

As your accountant, I must warn you. Besides the initial cost to acquire this dog, there are hidden future costs. You must consider these prior to purchasing the mutt. There are: deworming, vaccinations, neutering, allergy shots, vitamins, teeth cleaning, grooming, fencing, food, collars, leashes, flea treatments, court costs should your dog get loose and run the neighborhood or for a lawsuit if he should nip a passerby, replacing furniture, toys, and shoes that the dog destroys, and those are just the monetary costs.

Now let's consider personal costs: Listening to the whining, late nights taking the dog out, cleaning up after the dog, vacuuming up dog hair, and countless other things. So even though the doggy in the window may initially run you $200.00, over a lifetime, the cute little doggy that will grow up to be a big, lumbering ox will run you ohhhhh $10,000.00 give or take a few thou. But it is your money! :-)
