Question:
When being a comedian?
i know you should come up with your own material. Is it possible to think of something yourself that has already been created but you never heard it said? How do I know if that joke was already told? I want to be a good comedian and come up with my material so it can be new and funnier.
Answers: basically you will always over lap jokes... i saw a comedian once and the exact joke i was making about something he did it almost exact and my friends are like you stole that but im like nah.. its just something you have to think about most comedians start with the basic black box jokes but generally they come from your life and thats how you get almost orginal jokes also depends what sort of comedian you are like i do a bit infront of my mates and im more of an insulting aggressive comedian who makes fun of everything and some ppl are offended but generally they think its funny you find heaps of types from the state the obvious to the insulting to the down right goofy im willing to help you with jokes if you want. just make sure you got ya wit and you can always have comebacks cuz sometimes you will get hecklers and you need to shut them down real quick if you need get into a few verbal fights with ppl youll find good stuff there also make your jokes happen i find by doing things funny stuff happens
generally pretty much everything has been thought of so best bet is to make jokes bout stuff that is current and just recently happen like i was making fun of john howard and stuff giving each other the finger in their lil meeting and i compared it to being in grade 5 so now our country is run by a bunch of grade 5ers.. you gotta hear me do it.
also make sure you can deliever it well if you cant deliever it doesnt matter how good the joke is. the joke can be crap but if you can deliever it thats what makes a good joke..
