What do you think of my joke?
I came up with this joke all by myself.
Scientists are always worrying about conserving energy. If they really want to conserve energy they should let everyone go to sleep and not show up for work and school.
Is this good? If it's not, how can I improve. I'm doing stand up at my church at the end of the month. I'm only 15 so I can't afford any expensive comedy classes. Honest opinions only.

The way you tell it could make it funny I guess, but written down it's not. Try more of a set up before the "punch-line", which needs work too.

There is only one thing scientists can't do if they're not the principle of the school, there is now way they will let you stay at home.
