Basics of comedy?
Can some one explain to me what a setup and a punchline is so I can get a better understanding of it. Anything else you can tell me to be a better comedian? Additional Details

How about delivery? The setup is just that the setup- you start the joke it has to start in an interesting way to catch the audiences attention , kinda like " two monkeys walk into a bar" - ( random, just pulled out of my head) the punch line is the part that makes you laugh, it brings the joke to its end the funny part im no pro but the punchline is the last thing that makes ppl laugh...get a book at the library... A setup as i understand it is, The telling of the story that is always leading up to the *Punchline* Here is an example... (SETUP) What did one wall tell the other wall?
(PUNCHLINE) Meet you at the corner... I know its Corny but its all i could come up with I hope that helps good luck Setup:
