You approach an abandoned house. You go inside and notice 3 light swtiches next to each other. There is a light upstairs that one of these switches turn on. You task is to find out how you would know which switch turns on the light upstairs. You can go upstairs ONLY ONCE, and u cannot come down again. No helicopters or help from outside. Also no going outside. You cant see the light from downstiars or check the wiring. Now, how do u know which switch it is??


This took Einstein 15 minutes to figure out.

Answers: Flip switch 1..leave it on for 5 minutes then turn it off
Flip switch 2 and leave it on
Leave switch 3 in the off position
When you go upstairs if the light is off but warm to the touch it is switch 1. If the light is on....it is switch 2. And if the light is off and cool to the touch it is switch 3. :D One light-switch turns on the light upstairs, so the othe two turn on lights downstairs [hopefully ^_^'] or elsewhere that you can see? [again, hopefully]...:D

thats my guess :) You turn the first one on and wait. Then turn it off and go upstairs, feel the light bulb, if itis warm, you had the correct one, if not it is the other one. i have no idea but im posting this because i wanna come back later and see the answer...its gonna drive me nuts all day!
