Stereotypically, they're not slow. Have I met quite a handful of blondes that were slow: yes.

I'm a natural blond and I actually catch on to things faster than my brunette and red headed friends. I think you will find that slow people come in all hair colors.

It's worth mentioning that many blondes, when you get to know them really, really well, turn out to be brunette after all.
Alot of blonde's are slow. I, on the other hand, am not. Was in college full time when i was 16. 21 now, and i'm the Senior Systems Analyst for a global power manufacturer.

But that is not what majority of them are like.
Also a big percentage of blondes aren't true blondes.
They get the colour from a bottle. So in that way

No blonde's are not really slow, I think it′s more likely the blonds who are not really blond who are! I mean the ones who are blond because they pour a bleach called peroxide on there hair, thereby ruining it, and forgetting there eyebrows are still dark! They can′t be very bright can they?
I work with one who is really quite dimwitted. She leaves a trail of objects which fall out of her pockets or handbag. I once saw her get into her car to leave, then get out and go back inside to look for her cell phone, which she had left on the hood of her car. However, it is nearly impossible to tell her anything, because she pretends she knows everything.
I have met many blondes (bleached and natural) over the years through my career and voluntary work. I would say a few do live up to the stereotype!
But most do not.
I think that as a society we expect blondes to act 'slow' and therefore blondes do tend to adapt themselves into this pattern of behaviour.
The stereotype is based on the fact that naturally blonde women have higher levels of oestrogen.
This particular hormone tends to make you less able to park a car or take a maths test but better at reading peoples expressions and making friends which is maybe why blondes have more fun!
That is why we have come to say that blondes are stupid, they aren't, but some are better at people and creative tasks rather than numerical or spacial ones.
Just so you know I'm not biased - I'm a brunette myself!

I think it mostly applies to those who come out of a bottle. Real blondes are quite bright.
I think "slow" is generally not the word for the ones who do actually fit the stereotype. "Naive" might be better.
Much of the time, I have come to find out, the blondes are just conforming to the stereotype laid out for them, they are only acting slow/naive/ditzy. (Sometimes not, however.) You find it more often that blondes act ditzy because they are blonde than brunettes just randomly acting ditzy. It's a snowball effect that the stereotype causes them to act ditzy (generally it's a subconcious thing, they don't really think about it) because it's exists, but them acting stupid increases the truth of the stereotype in other people's minds.
It is just a bit of fun, and most of the blondes I know aren't at all offended. But because it is fun, they (subconciously, remember) conform to that stereotype even more, though they are generally not ACTUALLY slow.
basically,blondes are not very bright but very few are as slow as they are made to be.most of it is just fun directed towards them.but brunettes are generally smarter!!

some are some aren't ive met ones that are smart but have no common sense so it made them sound slow but some are just sooo slow its funny depends on where your at most of the time
