A dog Prayer ......................?!

Question: Treat me kindly, my beloved master for no heart in the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I lick your hand between the blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have me do.
Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear.
When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements. And I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth. Though had you no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in all the land, for you are my god, and I am your devoted worshiper.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst.

Okay, the joke/riddle falls where in this? I love the sentiment re: pets in general, but wouldn't Pets or Religion categories be better suited for this item?
There speaks a true dog lover, I have had my Golden Reviver for 12 years, yes she is old and slower than she was, but she makes me laugh and brings joy to my heart, thank you for the prayer, I hope more people read it and learn the true joy of a dog,
    very sweet
not a joke but have a star
That is really beautiful, I shall write it down and keep it.
That is so nice. Brought up memories of when I held my dog Guyo when he was put to sleep because of cancer. But I did like this. Thx for sharing...have a star from me to you
    Thank you that was beautiful!
We had a real problem with our x labrador dog Max yesterday, we were out walking and max got his paw trapped in some sort of agricultral metal clip, I couldn't get it off his paw and he was screaming in pain, we got him into the car and had a mad drive to the local vets, it took the vet twenty minutes , using all kinds of implements to remove it, throughout this time poor Max was screaming in pain, not once did he even threaten to bite any one of us! when the clip finally came off, and I've never seen this before. the ever so professional vet broke down in tears of relief, she explained, in all the years she had been practice she had never seen a dog in so much pain, that she was concerned for his heart, and yet he had even licked her hand during the procedure!
I'm an ex boxer, and a big bloke, and yet i was a wreck, i knew i loved my dog, we are never really apart, he has travelled all over Europe with us, he even comes along to work at times, but yesterdays events really brought home to me what a big part of our lives he has become, and just what a special dog he is, the vet even refused any payment!
Max is a little sore today but on the mend, and not complaining!
your posting of this prayer, couldn't have come at a better time, I will copy it, and keep it in my wallet, as a constant reminder of the love I have for Max, and love he has for me, along with, and perhaps most importantly, the responsability
i have for his happiness and well being!
When reading my response some people will not understand how I could be so emotional about, as they may put it, a dumb animal, they may even poke fun! I suppose unless you have experienced the love and devotion of a dog, you may consider it strange, all I can say to those people is, you don't know what your missing!
thank you for sharing, a well deserved star for you!
that is so nice babes xxx
    That's nice. I like dogs.
