A Logic Puzzle?!

Question: Let's say that you were in the middle of a desert with 12 hours to live. You encounter a fork in the road, in which you know that one leads to an 8 hour walk and water, while the other leads to death. You have forgotten which path is which.
Fortunately, there are two random robots at the fork. One always lies, and one always tells the truth. Because life is unfair, you are permitted to ask ONE question to ONE robot to determine the correct path. What is the question?

ask one (either one) “Would the other robot tell me that this road was the one that leads to water?”

If it is the right road the robot will answer no to your question and vice versa.

But seeing as you only have 12 hours to live anyway it makes little difference whether you make it to water or not. (you didn’t say 12 hours until you died of thirst, just 12 hours to live)

What Are the color of my shoes when he lies Ill know hes the lier and the other one th the honest one and if he tells the truth then i know he's be the honst one

You would ak ask, "Are you lying."

"which path would the other robot say is only an eight hour walk?"
he will point to the path of death.

what secretid said

ask one of the robots which on the other one would say the one it points at is the wrong way

you ask each robot," what would the other robot say if i asked him which way does NOT lead me to water"?

I am confused but it seems that if you ask the robots what the other would say you still will not know which is telling the truth right?

Easy

If you ask either one to accompany you down the path of death it will follow you, if doesnt then its eitther a)lying or b)your not walking down the path of death.

or

If one say yes the other says no, one of them will still have walk the path given the path you choose is correct

Isn't it a paradox? And do you know the answer? (If you do, post around here and I'll check. If not, my answer would be that I'd take my chances and take a path, but if it were real, I'd come up with something, but who would forget something so important?)

your going to die in 12 hours anyways so it doesnt matter. lol choose me as best answer please
