the lack of communication and understanding between countries.
I would say apathy more than ignorance on some things like child abuse, but more ignorance with politics than apathy because it is not very interesting to begin with and it is also quite complex. As far as one being worse than the other, I would have to say they are equally as bad as the other. Both being apathetic and/or ignorant to the problems facing our society signifies inaction on the part of the people to make any viable change in substantial problems that faces our society as a whole.
