Do you know any good books on the anatomy/structure of comedy....?!

Question: not the philosophy of humour..or the humourous books...but books that analyse all the various varieties of humour ie sarcasm, irony, slapstick etc...and break down and explain why any particular thing is funny...ie what are the building blocks or what is the skeletal structure of any type of humour you'd care to mention?

i have heard john cleese is writing a seriouly funnily serious book about comedy/humour/laughter....but i cant wait..i want to read something now!

i think jimmy carr wrote a book about that. cant remember what it was called tho

You already know it can all be reduced to just one word: Timing. You can read a phone book and if you read it properly with the right cadence and interval separations and especially your tone of voice, and wait properly, you can have the audience crawling around on its hands and knees laughing...
