Question: Ok so, 3 guys go to a restaurant, they eat and all have fun. The price was $30, so each paid $10. They got up and started walking away. A few moments later, the waitress came around and saw that they had paid $30; she had forgotten to tell them that the restaurant had a $5 discount that day. The waitress, being a moral person, decided to give the $5 back to them. She caught a little kid running around, and told him to give these $5 to those 3 men. The kid runs up to them, and being a clever little guy, he sees that you can't divide $5 by 3, so he gives each $1 and keeps $2 for himself.
So... let's break this down. Each paid $10, then each received $1 back - so each paid $9. The kid kept $2.
$9 x 3 = $27
$27 + $2 = $29. Where did the last dollar go???

Who gives a rats ***. It was only one dollar, and one dollar aint worth hardly anything now a days.
its a grouping error, you can't say that each man only paid 9 dollars because techinically each paid 8. 33 or something strange like that for the total bill of 25. the 5 dollars remaining can thus be divided because there is the independent factor of the boy to take into account. he romoves 2 of the total dollars which is what makes the math not add up. if the men were given back the entire 5 they would have each gotten around 1. 66 so 8.33 *3 is 24.9999 amd 1.66* 3 is approximately 4.9999, this plus 24.9999 =30
nothing happened to the dollar. the kid kept it. the guys should have paid 8.33333 and there would've been 1 penny.
The guys meal was 25 they came out of 27 and the kid kept 3
