It probably still is against the law in many states. Several states in the midwest have laws stating it is illegal to have sexual relations with anyone that you are not married to and so is anal sex, but obviously, they arent really inforced. There are so many laws that were made decades ago regarding things that we find socially acceptable today. In KS, it is illegal to tie your GIRAFFE to a lightpost! What the heck is wrong with that? I guess the next time I go home to mom's, I'll leave mine at home...lol

He may have been overstating the case a bit. In certain areas, maybe the south or depending on the hotel owner, they may require people to sign in as married.
And certain hotels might require non-married couples to get seperate rooms. I can't say if people were actually arrested for beaking any laws.
If that happened today- there would be more people in jails than ones walking free, LOL :D
