What are the biggest tragedies in a man's life?!
Question: Baby Gurl has some pretty good ones. Having a boy and it being down syndrome w/a girl friend and not having a blood test while paying the child support. Wondering if you should after all these years (more than 18) have the blood test or just pay support the child for the rest of his life, because your the only father he knows and it is now the right thing to do.
Out living your children (this has not happened yet, thank God).
Not ever meeting or connecting with your soul mate.
Being unhappy in a marriage and staying in it because of your commitment to yourself and the marriage.
Watching his mother wither away and die from Cancer.
Having an abusive Step Father and being pushed out of the only family you new when you were 15 years old.
Having a real father in which family follows Image, Money, Power and Prestige in his priorities in life.
Having a father in which you could never measure up, even if you capable, even if you put all you heart into earning the love, acceptance and stamp of approval...he would never stamp approved.
Wasting the formative years of your life, by being hooked on drugs to cope with life from 19 years old until you were 37 years old (hard drugs Heroin and Cocaine from 25 to 37).
Knowing all the pain you caused innocent people while you were Out Of Control. Not having the ability to really wipe away that indelible pain, but just trying the best you can now to make amends and be a better person one day at a time.
These are my heart aches and tragedies, and then some...
Should I go further...
I could talk about the blessings...
