What's heavier?!

Question: A pound of feathers or a pound of nickels?

Answers: A pound of feathers or a pound of nickels?

As for the objects themselves, they weight the same amount.

However, I would think that the pound of feathers would be heavier, because the container that is holding them would be much larger than that of the nickles, which would make the net weight significantly heavier. (How's that for over-thinking a simple question?)

Neither.

They're both a pound.

They both weigh one pound.

niether they both equal a pound!!

neither...they both weigh a pound

A pound is a pound no matter what it is.....xx

They're both a pound, but a pound of nickels are sure worth more than a pound of feathers

One will be invariably heavier as no two entities weigh exactly the same. The difference in weight is not something that can be measured or perceived by human beings, but it will differ on the subatomic level at the very least. So, without more information, there's no way to tell.

The one you would say, when you are hit with both of them, one after another.

Lets see, one pound equates to approximately $2.07 US, so that would be about 41 nickels....and the price of feathers varies GREATLY per species, but you can't get very many for $2.07....so I would have to go with the nickels.

Both weigh a pound. If you had asked for the difference between a pound of feathers and a pound of gold, then there would be a difference as feathers are measured in pounds avoirdupois and gold in pounds troy. Of course, all this is outdated now, as the accepted unit of weight is a kilogram.

they are both the same weight.

they both weight the same, a pound is a pound.
