What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?

I'd say:

Put a brick on the gas pedal.
Get out of the car, and on to the front part of the car.
Either jump to the fire engine, or to the horse in front.

If you chose the fire engine: hit the fire fighter and get inside. Start driving.

If you chose the horse: start riding, then get to the drop off until your "ever accelerating" car passes away and turn around.

If everything is traveling at the same speed and the exact same path they're in now moving forward, what's the big problem? No more dangerous than flying over the ocean as long as all the engines keep running.
