It is the Caspian Sea. Although it is called a sea, it is the world's largest land-locked body of water. So technically, it's the world's largest lake.

From your hints, I found out that it was Caspian Sea. But, I thought it was Nile. I know it was wrong. But, when you say largest, one tends to recall Nile only.
